WHO ARE WE?
The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is the largest student organization in Europe supporting and developing student exchange on local/university, national and international level. Since 1989, this organization has expanded to 40 countries and is composed of more than 500 sections! At the University of Economics, there is the ESN EU Bratislava section – on the one hand, on the basis of volunteering we are offering help, guidance and valuable information to exchange students and helping exchange students to adapt in the new environment, on the other hand, we are bringing together local students who are interested in volunteering and in activities within the international environment.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
The main focus of ESN is on the incoming exchange students who are facing the brand new challenges in the unknown environment. ESN enables more efficient and fast integration through activities and events organized by its members on a regular basis. Trips, cultural and social activities, networking and even more – that’s all that ESN offers! In addition, ESN administrates a Buddy program allowing local students to „adopt“ an exchange student for one semester and to help him/her during the first weeks in the new city – to show him/her around, meet other local students and give necessary advice and tips.

LOCAL/SLOVAK STUDENTS
ESN represents the values of volunteering and active citizenship and enables Slovak students to become members who, through their activities and events, contribute to the integration of exchange students and to intercultural understanding. ESN supports the personal development of its members in the international environment directly in Bratislava. Furthermore, ESN volunteers gain valuable experience in event management, teamwork, and improve their foreign language skills.
