Reporting Procedure and Support
The Bratislava University of Economics and Business is committed to creating a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all students and employees. Any form of sexual harassment, coercion or violence is strictly prohibited at our university.
If you have been a victim of or witnessed inappropriate behaviour, we offer a safe space where you will find understanding, discretion and professional support.
Our Core Principles
Our support and assistance service operates according to principles designed to ensure your protection:
- those affected are heard in a safe and protected environment,
- we provide support regardless of age, gender or sexual orientation,
- all consultations and support services are completely free of charge,
- we treat you with full respect, empathy and without prejudice,
- everything you tell us is kept strictly confidential. We aim to reduce any fear or concern about negative consequences or retaliation for reporting an incident.
What Can You Expect from the Service?
You do not have to face this alone. Our trained staff are ready to provide comprehensive support through the following steps:
- we will give you the space to describe what happened freely and without pressure.
- your mental and physical well-being is our priority.
- together, we will look at the situation and explain the academic, ethical and legal options available to you.
- we will help you plan the next steps (e.g. submitting a report to the Ethics Committee, accessing psychological support, or adjusting study conditions).
- if you are unsure whether the behaviour constituted harassment, you can discuss the situation with us informally and confidentially.
