The 22nd International Scientific Conference of PhD and Post-PhD Students EDAMBA 2019 - “Empowering Actions to Achieve Global Goals: Implications for Economics, Business, Management and Related Disciplines” was held at the University of Economics in Bratislava on 23 - 24 October 2019.

The conference was attended by more than 60 participants during two meeting days, who had the opportunity to present their contributions in the following sections: Economic Theory, Marketing, Accounting and Economic Informatics, Financial Management and Global Economy and Language. The best presentations in the sections were awarded the Best Paper Award.

The conference was opened by the Rector of the University of Economics in Bratislava prof. Ing. Ferdinand Daňo, PhD. in presence of Vice-Rector for Science and Doctoral Studies Ing. Paula Puškárová, DiS. art., PhD. Keynote speakers were prof. Silvester van Koten from CERGE-EI (Prague, Czech Republic), prof. Alexandru Minea of the University of Auvergne (Clermont-Ferrand, France)— currently both visiting professors at the Faculty of Economics of the EU in Bratislava—as well as Dr Edouard Turkisch of the European Commission (Brussels, Belgium).

A part of the conference was also the Project Management Seminar led by doc. Ing. Mgr. Gabriela Dubcová, PhD. of the EUBA’s Faculty of Business Management focused on kick-off grant schemes (small grants for early-stage researchers and PhD students) such as EUBA Young Researchers (valid from 1.9.2019), SAIA grant schemes for PhD students and young researchers, Austria-Slovakia Action, National Scholarship Programme, and successfully completed Twinning Horizon 2020 (EDGE, GA # 692413).

At the same time, the Slovak Fulbright Alumni Association (www.sfaa.sk) together with the Fulbright Commission in Slovakia presented the Fulbright Programme and its successful graduates through the FulBright Minds project (https://sfaa.sk/fulbright-minds-videos/).
