In the winter semester of an academic year 2022/2023, we organized the eighth edition of the educational project Central Europe Connect - Joint Certificate Program (CEC), that enables short-term international student exchange at three economic universities in Central Europe. The CEC project is a joint project of the University of Economics in Vienna (WU), the University of Economics in Warsaw (SGH) and the University of Economics in Bratislava (EUBA). Within this unique certified program, 20 students from each university attend lectures and discussions on the topics of economic development of the countries of the Central European region.

The eighth edition of the CEC program was officially launched on October 17, 2022 in Vienna with the course „Strategies and Management for Central Europe“, organized under the professional supervision of partner university WU. The block teaching continued in Warsaw with the course „Marketing resources and consumer behaviour in Central Europe“, provided by the partner university SGH. On December 5, 2022 we officially launched the last course within the eighth edition of the CEC program, the course „Structural Dynamics in Central European Economies“ under the professional supervision of EUBA. In the opening speech, students were greeted by Boris Mattoš, the Vice-Rector for International Relations of EUBA. After the welcome part, students continued in the program with a campus tour and lectures. Students took part on specialized lectures and worked in teams on group projects throughout the whole week. Apart from block teaching, a tour of Bratislava was prepared for students, as well as social activity organised by the ESN EU Bratislava, farewell dinner and a visit to ESET company, where they discussed the topics of cyber security. The block teaching was concluded on Saturday, December 10, 2022 with presentations of the results of group projects and closing ceremony during which students received certificates.

Overall 44 students participated in the CEC program this semester. We would like to thank our partners, colleagues and students for their participation and support in the Autumn edition of the Central Europe Connect - Joint Certificate program.
