The academic community is not only characterized by research, teaching and professional activities. University life is a colorful mosaic of activities and achievements, which inevitably include sports. At Bratislava University of Economics and Business, sports have a strong place - they are a symbol of perseverance, team spirit and fairness, which are values on which the university community itself stands.
Representing EUBA in the colors of sport requires not only talent, but also discipline, stamina, determination and heart. Our students and sports teams regularly prove that success on the field and in the classroom can go hand in hand.
Awards "For extraordinary sporting achievements"
During the ceremonial meeting of the academic community on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the founding of the EUBA, awards were presented in the category "For extraordinary sporting achievements" to those who, through their commitment, results and representation, significantly contribute to the good name of the university.
The award was received by:
Women's volleyball team Slavia Kooperativa EUBA
the most successful women's volleyball club in Slovakia with 22 Slovak titles. The award was received by team captain Radka Hašková, who leads her team with admirable energy and determination.
Jakub KOZMER
Academic world champion in fin swimming, who pushes the boundaries of possibility in the water and represents EUBA at the world level.
Róbert RIPPEL
captain of university sports teams, who has long linked sports with the academic environment and is a role model for his classmates.
Sport as part of EUBA's DNA
At EUBA, we believe that sports and education complement each other – sports build character, strengthen perseverance and teach fair play, just as an academic environment develops knowledge and values. Our athletes are proof that success, humility and fair play can go hand in hand with university studies.
