The Bratislava University of Economics and Business (EUBA) welcomed 120 exchange students from 23 countries across Europe, Asia, and America for the winter semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.
The largest group of students arrived from partner institutions in Spain, France, Germany, and Portugal, participating through the Erasmus+ programme.
To help all exchange students feel welcome, the International Office organized a Welcome Week from September 8, 2025. The event opened with a traditional Slovak dance performance by the university’s folklore ensemble Ekonóm. Following the performance, the International Office delivered a presentation providing students with important information on academic administration and legal requirements concerning the Foreign Police in Slovakia.
Representatives of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN EU Bratislava) assisted students with registration and organized a campus tour. The week fostered opportunities for students to build new friendships and connections. “During the Welcome Week, I met a lot of people from all over the world. This event allowed me to make new friends,” said Aidan from the University of Victoria, Canada. His experience reflects the broader spirit of the week, which brought students together in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
With this successful start, EUBA looks forward to supporting its international students throughout their studies in Bratislava.
The remainder of Welcome Week, organized by the International Office in collaboration with ESN, featured ice-breaking games, a welcome dinner, a city tour, speedfriending, and the Bratislava Challenge, all designed to help students settle into university life and explore the city.
Throughout the semester, the International Office organizes a variety of events for international students, including the International Study Abroad Fair, Snack & Chat sessions, and a photography contest. For more details, follow us on Instagram @studyateuba
