The international educational project Central Europe Connect (CEC) continues its tradition and enters its 15th edition in 2026. Once again, it brings together students from three prominent economic universities – the Bratislava University of Economics and Business (EUBA), the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), and the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) – with the aim of supporting their professional development, intercultural collaboration, and practical experience.
The current fifteenth edition of the program was launched on March 16 at SGH in Warsaw with the course “Marketing Resources and Consumer Behaviour in Central Europe.” Subsequently, on April 13, the second week of block teaching began with the course “Structural Dynamics in Central European Economies,” delivered by EUBA. This edition again, participants are involved in an intensive program that includes lectures and teamwork on international projects, as well as leisure activities such as a “Get together,” city tour, and a formal farewell dinner. In addition to the academic component, students also visited the significant refining and petrochemical company Slovnaft, a.s. The teaching concluded on Saturday, April 18, 2026, with presentations of the group project results. The final course of the CEC program, "Strategies and Management for Central Europe," will be launched on May 4, 2026 at the WU in Vienna.
Over the years, the Central Europe Connect project has built a strong reputation as a platform for knowledge exchange and the development of international connections among students in economic fields. This is also reflected in the number of program graduates, which has risen to more than 730 students. As one of the participants evaluated the 15th edition of the program at the EUBA „It was my first time in Bratislava, and I was genuinely surprised by how pleasant and welcoming the city is. Overall, it was a very positive experience, both academically and socially.“
In the winter semester of the academic year 2026/2027, the 16th edition of this successful program will be organized and we are nowadays opening the call for applications.
