Faculty of Business Management at Bratislava University of Economics and Business has received AMBA & BGA joint accreditation – confirming it as world-class. This is the first and only AMBA- and BGA-accredited institution in Slovakia
Bratislava, 28. september 2026 – Faculty of Business Management at Bratislava University of Economics and Business has officially received joint accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the Business Graduates Association (BGA), two of the world’s leading authorities on business education. The accreditations were awarded after a thorough evaluation process, which involved a panel of senior business school leaders from around the world.
The Faculty of Business Management at Bratislava University of Economics and Business is part of a leading public and self-governing university in Slovakia. The University has been based in the Bratislava neighbourhood of Petržalka, south of the Danube River, since 1991.
During the accreditation process, members of the AMBA & BGA accreditation panel commended the strong practical orientation of the Faculty and its MBM programmes, supported by multiple corporate partnerships and driven by professors with strong links to the market.
The panel also remarked on the engaged and committed students and alumni.
Upon receiving the AMBA accreditation, all current and recent graduates of the school’s MBM portfolio are invited to join AMBA’s global membership network, which comprises approximately 80,000 students and alumni from over 150 countries.
Through both organisations, students and graduates can strengthen a community that acts as a force for good in management thought and practice, while gaining access to exclusive events and business content.
AMBA & BGA accreditation is international in scope and reach, and the organisation works with senior academics at top educational institutions around the world to continuously update accreditation criteria and maintain a unique, in-depth, and detailed approach.
AMBA & BGA believe accredited schools should be of the highest standard and reflect changing trends and innovation in postgraduate management education. As such, the accreditation process reflects this commitment to fostering innovation and challenges business schools to continuously perform at the highest level.

“Achieving AMBA accreditation is an important milestone for the Faculty of Business Management and a recognition of the quality we have been building over many years. We greatly appreciate that the international peer review process recognised the academic quality of our programme, its strong links with business practice, and the quality of our academic environment. "For us, quality is not a one-off project but the very way we manage the university. AACSB accreditation five years ago marked the beginning of a journey during which we have systematically benchmarked our education, research, and student engagement against the world's best schools. The fact that we are now adding a second accreditation from the 'Triple Crown' trio proves that this culture of quality has truly taken root at the Bratislava University of Economics and Business," stated Rector of EUBA, Prof. Ferdinand Daňo, PhD.
Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Executive of AMBA & BGA, said: “Everyone at AMBA & BGA is delighted that the Faculty of Business Management at Bratislava University of Economics and Business has achieved joint accreditation. This achievement reflects the Faculty’s strong commitment to excellence, innovation, and practical relevance in business education. We are pleased to welcome the Faculty into our global network of accredited institutions and look forward to supporting its continued positive impact on students, graduates, and the wider business community.”
