From 19 to 21 October 2026, the Bratislava University of Economics and Business hosted the 10th meeting of the Governing Board of the Water4All Partnership, co-funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme. Over three days, the Faculty of International Relations, which coordinates the project at the university, welcomed approximately 80 consortium members from around the world.
“The Bratislava University of Economics and Business is a proud partner of the consortium, and we are delighted that the partnership coordinator, the French National Research Agency (ANR), entrusted us with organising this annual meeting. At the Faculty of International Relations, we are aware that, in the geopolitical context, water has always been at the centre of states’ attention and is the subject of numerous regional as well as international disputes. It is therefore essential that we address the issue of water security,” said [function] Kristína Baculáková.
The Water4All Partnership aims to ensure long-term water security for all. It supports systemic transformation and connects those facing water-related challenges with solution providers.
Launched in June 2022, the Water4All Partnership brings together 90 partners from 33 countries within and beyond the European Union. They cover the entire water research, development and innovation chain, from academia and research and innovation funders to water authorities and associations.
The main objectives of the partnership include:
- strengthening cooperation and strategic coordination of water-related research and innovation,
- supporting the demonstration of innovative solutions and their uptake by the market,
- sharing water-related knowledge and data,
- providing tools for water management,
- designing and implementing participatory approaches to innovation development.
