On November 23, 2021, the Department of International Mobility at the EU in Bratislava organized the 7th International Study Abroad Fair, which moved to the online space this year due to the continuing pandemic situation.

The event was opened by Boris Mattoš, Vice-Rector for International Relations, who in his speech pointed out the benefits of foreign mobility. He also expressed the wish that the event would inspire as many students as possible to exchange abroad.

In the winter semester of the academic year 2021/2022, 105 foreign students who are studying at the EU in Bratislava, presented their alma mater within the program. In addition to local students, the event was also attended by foreign students from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, France, Ireland, Germany and Turkey, and Greece. All students also had the opportunity to meet in smaller interactive groups in order to make contacts and find out as much as possible about the other countries. Slovak students used this space for questions that were associated with traveling to Erasmus+ study or internship abroad.

International students shared their feedback and impressions on International Study Abroad Fair as follows:

Patrizio from Italy, European University of Rome: „Concerning my satisfaction with the International Study Abroad Fair, I was really happy with the event. Surely, I am going to recommend the event to my friends. I had the possibility to discover new things for me, about different nationalities, thank you for this opportunity!“

Students from Belgium, Loïc and Antoine from Université De Liège and Mathieu from KU Leuven: „The International Study Abroad Fair was more interesting than expected. In the first place, it was nice to hear from our colleagues, Erasmus+ students, where they live, where their faculties are, and to know more about the city they live in. We are likely to tell others about this event because we think that every Slovak student (also from other universities) should get such an insight into all the possible destinations.“

Zuzana Hubčíková from EUBA "I liked the International Study Abroad Fair very much, I am glad that this event continues in the current situation. Foreign students prepared really interesting presentations, where they described not only their universities, but also their student life. I think it helped us a lot to choose the right university for our Erasmus."
